Stephen Rose, MD
Dr. Rose is also the Founder and President of Rose Imaging Specialists, P.A., the nation's largest group of breast imaging specialists. Dr. Rose is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. His residency in Diagnostic Radiology was completed at the University of Texas at Houston, including training at M.D. Anderson, Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann Health System and St. Joseph’s Hospital of Houston, Texas. He is a board-certified, nationally renowned breast radiologist, and has dedicated his practice to the diagnosis of early breast cancer for almost two decades.
Dr. Rose was on the forefront of the implementation of state-of-the-art breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsies. He has received the “Susan G. Komen & BMW Ultimate Drive Hero", and was featured in Smithsonian Magazine in 2000. Dr. Rose also received “Physician of the Year” from Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in 2007.
Recently, Dr. Rose was part of the multi-center national trial investigating an exciting new technology - digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography). Today he is considered one of the nation's leading experts regarding this technology. Dr. Rose has been in private practice since 1986.
